Chiefs Injury Update: One Chief Returns, But Four Players Miss Practice

The Kansas City Chiefs returned to practice on Tuesday in preparation for this Saturday’s postseason game against the Tennessee Titans at Arrowhead Stadium.
That included tailback Charcandrick West, who was back at practice after missing last Sunday’s win against the Denver Broncos with an illness.
Those absent from practice included wide receiver Albert Wilson (hamstring), cornerback Phillip Gaines (elbow) and defensive tackles Jarvis Jenkins (knee) and Rakeem Nunez-Roches (ankle).
Gaines and Nunez-Roches didn’t return to the field on Sunday after suffering their injuries, while Wilson’s occurred in the game’s final minutes.
Head Coach Andy Reid provided an update on Kansas City’s injured players prior to practice.
“Albert Wilson has a slight hamstring (injury) and won’t practice.” Phillip Gaines, Jarvis Jenkins, Rakeem Nunez-Roches and Albert Wilson won’t practice today for the #Chiefs.
— BJ Kissel (@ChiefsReporter) January 2, 2018 The Chiefs also placed wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas (leg) and running back Akeem Hunt (ankle), who both left Sunday’s contest with injuries, on Injured Reserve and signed tailback C.J.
Spiller and wide receiver Marcus Kemp to the active roster.
Spiller has played in one game for Kansas City this season, carrying the ball twice in Week 7 against Oakland.
Kemp was active in Week 6 against Pittsburgh, playing eight offensive snaps.
